The GOREWEAR Women's R5 WINDSTOPPER® Insulated Jacket is perfect for runners seeking a very light jacket for runs on cold days.

Why we stock the GOREWEAR R5 WINDSTOPPER® Insulated Jacket

The jacket is incredibly well designed for cold weather running. The semi-transparent outer layer has a WINDSTOPPER® liner by GORE-TEX LABS*. WINDSTOPPER® fabric is extremley breathable, durably water-resistant, and totally windproof.

While WINDSTOPPER® is great for preventing wind chill, it will not trap much warmth. Helpfully, the jacket also has POLARTEC® ALPHA® insulation which does help to keep you warm.

The combination of windproofing and insulation means that the requirement to wear a midlayer is reduced. In a lot of temperatures, you may be perfectly comfortable with a t-shirt underneath the jacket.

Fit Guide

The jacket has a slim fit. We recommend going up a size if you are between sizes and/or prefer a looser fit.

Ideal Run Type

The GOREWEAR Women's R5 WINDSTOPPER® Insulated Jacket is best for training runs in cold and windy conditions. It will provide some protection from light rain, but it is not a waterproof running jacket. It will be at its best when you want a warm and breathable running jacket for cold temperatures.
